We are supporting the first World Values Day on 20th October.
We are supporting World Values Day because it has an incredible synergy with our Inspiring Purpose Programme; after taking part in our programme pupils are asked about what they have learned or achieved:
“I was able to recognise what I am good (and bad) at. This was really interesting because I can work on my weakest values and improve my best.”
“By taking part in this project I have learned that if you want things to change you can’t just sit around waiting for someone else to do it. You have to try to make a difference yourself.”
Below are some suggestions for how you can get involved and you can find out more here
1. Choose a value > Act on that value > Share it > Pass it on #WorldValuesDay
2. For secondary schools there is an online "Jam" being organised in which older students discuss and debate values, which should be very interesting. The Jam will be on 20th October at 11am (duration 90 minutes). Our aim is to engage students in discussing and debated values among themselves, directed by a professional and experienced facilitator. There will be a relatively small number of schools involved, all with a values background, but otherwise with varied geographic and demographic characters. The flyer for the event can be seen here
